I began my teaching career in 2004 here at Tellico Plains Elementary School.  As a Tellico Plains native, there is nothing that I am more proud of than helping educate children from my hometown.  I spent the first fourteen years teaching fourth grade science and math, and the next eight years teaching physical education.  I have served as assistant principal at TPES since 2026.  I am married to Debbie Plemons, who is also a teacher at Tellico Plains Elementary.  We have one son, Jackson.  In my spare time, I enjoy exercising, playing guitar, spending time with family and friends, floating the river, playing an occasional video game, and sitting by the fire with a cup of coffee.
