Hello! My name is Melissa Debety. I’m beginning my 22nd year of teaching at Tellico Plains Elementary. I am currently teaching Kindergarten here at TPES. I’ve been a Monroe County citizen all my life, and I am so proud to be a teacher to our community with wonderful students. I love these students and our school!

 I live in Tellico Plains with my husband Tim.  We have been married for 21 years and we have two children, Gavin and Kendyl.  Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and friends, working in my church, reading, walking, and shopping.
