Distance Learning

Welcome to our Distance Learning page!  Here you will find links to distance learning activities for different grades and departments at TPES.  Please understand that these activities are suggestions of ways to help keep your child engaged in school.  These activities and assignments are not required.  No child will be punished in regards to completion of the activities and assignments.
To access these learning activities, click on the red folder links below.  Also, teachers are posting additional learning activities as well as important information and messages on their class websites.  In addition, teachers are using email, phone calls, and various apps to stay in touch with students and parents.  You can access each teacher's class website by clicking on the Faculty and Staff or Staff Directory links.  You can also access each teacher's class website by going to the TPES homepage and looking under the Our School tab or in the center of the homepage.  If you need to contact a teacher, his or her email is listed in the Staff Directory and on the teacher's website.  If you do not have a printer, don't worry.  Students can view lessons online and just do their work on paper.  Learning activities and assignments will be posted weekly and remain posted even after the week has ended.

There is a new app in Clever for free access to myOn for our school system during distance learning.  myOn provides unlimited, 24/7 access to thousands of full-length digital books and age-appropriate news articles. Once logged into Clever, go to the myOn icon to go to the site. Students will enter tpes as their username and books as their password. These books also have AR tests as well, and you will find an AR link in Clever too.  If your child is not sure how to log in to Clever, please see the directions below.
TPES has a virtual book club for students created by Ms. Standridge, TPES Library Media Specialist.  Students should feel free to visit the virtual book club's webpage at https://tpes.monroe.k12.tn.us/apps/pages/whatareyoureadingvirtualbookclub .
ReadyRosie and the State of Tennessee have partnered to bring free resources to Tennessee families.  This is from their Press Release:
“All Tennessee families can sign up NOW for a free subscription to ReadyRosie through September 1. Through a partnership with the Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation, families can access ReadyRosie’s Modeled Moments library. Hundreds of short videos available in both English and Spanish, provide families with simple, fun and engaging instructional activities that they can then replicate with their own children and are rooted in learning goals for children on topics such as literacy, early math, health and well-being.
